Principal Financial Group is Hiring an Onboarding Coordinator Near Des Moines, IA

What You'll Do

As an Onboarding Coordinator you’ll be responsible for working with our distribution partners, financial professionals, and employers to onboard new GI and GSI groups ensuring accurate, timely and expert implementation of new ancillary business.

Your day will consist of:

  • Providing exceptional service and creative solutions on complex plans and communicate to all parties involved.
  • Leading the employer and financial professional experience by providing expertise for implementation and onboarding of solutions and processes, ensuring client satisfaction and accuracy during implementation.
  • Solving complex issues that may arise by providing alternatives outside of normal processes, including negotiating solutions.
  • Communicating and providing knowledge on products and installation capabilities.
  • Analyzing information and making recommendations to the sales rep and broker on complex issues and/or conflicting information to solve customer requests.
  • Educating business partners on the process of gathering needed information to ensure accurate and timely installation.
  • Managing the broker relationship during sold case implementation and monitoring the pipeline in the system to effectively move business through the sales, onboarding, and implementation process.
  • Completing final review of plan design features, policy provisions, and administrative set up and communicating effectively and accurately to the implementation team.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with implementation team members to ensure timely and optimal installation experience.
  • Performing other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Who You Are
  • 3 years of experience in life or group benefits services, marketing or sales.
  • Solid understanding of insurance operations, products, and concepts with the ability to apply marketing strategies and systems.
  • Strong planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to develop effective relationships and motivate producer behavior.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$23.29 - $31.51 / hour
Time Off Program
Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Location

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
